MUSIC NOTES

'WICKED' by Anyhowtown (AHT), was one of the top ten selling independent CDs of 1995, with radio hits 'Darling', 'I am found' and 'Myraga' getting regular rotation on the influential and original indie/alt rock commercial station CFNY, and college radio stations across North America. As one of five finalists in the CFNY $100,000 New Music Search 1994, AHT carved out a commanding position in the heady days of indie music in the early 90s. After their break-up in 1996, lead singer/songwriter Daphne Diamant and drummer, Derek Gassyt went on to form Blanche, recording two CDs, Companion and Flexees Lovable Nemo in Toronto, before relocating to the UK in 1999. Other AHT recordings include: Self-titled Anyhowtown 1991; Trickle down 1995; Fashion lashes limited edition cassette double Aside-WTSD and Surrender (a cover of the cheap trick classic)
